Tabitha Day 2nd Edition: Truly, helping is a blessing.

On Thursday, April 25, 2024, a remarkable event took place in the Gitaramuka hill area of Kanyosha zone, Muha commune. It was a day of giving for the 61 Pygmy families who have been struggling with limited resources.

The Rajedes Association, through its Tabitha Day program, generously donated clothes and shoes to these underprivileged families within their community. "Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did ". Acts 9:36. The primary objective of this initiative is to follow in the footsteps of the biblical figure Tabitha, who was known for her acts of kindness and compassion. " Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me." Matthew 25:36. In these few words, a profound truth unfolds. When we extend compassion to the vulnerable, we transcend their suffering and find our own humanity. Let us remember that kindness and empathy hold the power to clothe, heal, liberate and transforming other's lives. The beneficiaries of this program expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Tabitha Day and the Rajedes Association of Burundi for their unwavering support.

It is worth mentioning that the upcoming 3rd edition of Tabitha Day will take place in the Gitaza commune, specifically targeting those affected by the recent mountain incident that destroyed their homes. In light of this, we urge anyone who has something to contribute towards aiding these individuals to contact the Rajedes Association of Burundi. We extend our sincere appreciation to each person who is dedicated to ensuring the success of Tabitha Day.

Indeed, helping others is a profound blessing. It is a testament to the indomitable spirit of compassion and empathy that resides within humanity. When we reach out to those in need, we not only alleviate their suffering but also experience the joy of making a difference. It is through acts of selflessness and generosity that we truly embody the essence of humanity.

In conclusion, Tabitha Day serves as a beacon of hope for the underprivileged families in our community. It is a testament to the power of unity and compassion. As we continue to embrace the spirit of giving, let us remember that helping others is not only a blessing for those in need, but also a blessing for ourselves.

"Aiding is a blessing, a testament to the power of compassion that transcends barriers and transforms lives."
